15th Edition of the SOI Scientific Days: three days in Pisa dedicated to innovation in horticulture, floriculture and fruit growing with the Institute of Plant Production of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna m.nazzari Wed, 06/18/2025 - 11:33 From June 25 to 27, 2025, Pisa reaffirms its role as a national hub for research in horticulture, floriculture, and fruit growing by hosting the 16th edition of the Scientific Days of the Italian Society for Horticultural Science (SOI). This highly regarded event in the Italian agri-food research landscape is promoted by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, through its Institute of Plant Production, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-environmental Sciences of the University of Pisa.The event is designed to foster knowledge exchange and dialogue between academic research, innovation, and the productive sector. The program includes numerous thematic sessions addressing key topics such as plant genetics and physiology, sustainable resource management, production quality, and the multifunctionality of the horticultural sector.
It will also offer valuable opportunities to highlight the work of SOI Working Groups, which focus on specific supply chains, nurseries, landscape management, and urban green spaces.Among the most anticipated moments are four plenary lectures by leading international experts, who will offer advanced and inspiring insights into the future of the field.The Scientific Days will officially open on Tuesday, June 24, at 6:00 PM, with a welcome aperitif held at the main campus of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, in Piazza Martiri della Libertà. This will be the first moment of participant reception and pre-registration.The scientific sessions will take place on June 25 and 26 at the Carmignani Teaching Complex, in Piazza dei Cavalieri, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
