Top Engineering Schools in Australia in 2021 chloe@qs.com Tue, 04/13/2021 - 16:20 Australia engineering The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021 covers 520 top engineering and technology schools around the world, with 20 of these located in Australia.  We run through the top schools in five different branches of engineering – chemical, civil and structural, electrical, mechanical, and mineral and mining.  The recent QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021 covers the best universities for 51 different subjects, including 520 top engineering and technology schools around the world, with 20 of these located in Australia.  The ranking covers five different branches of engineering – chemical, civil and structural, electrical, mechanical, and mineral and mining.  The rankings are compiled using four indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per paper and the h-index (a way of measuring the productivity and impact of published work). UNSW earns a near perfect score in the employer reputation indicator, indicating that the university’s graduates have excellent employment prospects.  There are six Australian universities in the world top 50. Of these, all but one have fallen in the rankings this year.
