How should companies organize themselves today to prevent risks, strengthen governance, and operate in compliance with regulations? These questions will be addressed at the conference “Appropriate organizational structures and corporate responsibility: perspectives and synergies”, promoted by Confcommercio and the Scuola Superiore Sant Anna in Pisa. The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 12, in Rome, starting at 9:00 a.m., at the national headquarters of Confcommercio (Piazza G. G. Belli, 2), and will be dedicated to exploring the concrete meaning of the rule of adequate organizational structures, which is increasingly central to the management of companies, particularly micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The debate will focus on the role of organizational structures as a tool for preventing business risks, also in relation to the sanctions provided for by the regulations on the administrative liability of entities (Legislative Decree No. 231/2001).
Thanks to the contribution of academics, magistrates, and professionals, the conference will offer a multidisciplinary discussion on the possible synergies between business organization, risk management, and 231 compliance models, highlighting how an adequate structure can represent not only a regulatory obligation but also an opportunity to make the company more solid, efficient, and aware. The conference is also part of the process of strengthening the collaboration between Confcommercio and the Sant Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, which is considered strategic for promoting dialogue between research and the business system.“With this synergy, we want to guarantee our contribution to the country s economy and therefore to the entrepreneurial fabric, of which the companies associated with the Confederation are an essential, vital, and innovative segment. As the Sant Anna School, we offer our expertise for the development of a new business culture focused on risk prevention and organizational quality,” says Rector Nicola Vitiello. “For Confcommercio,” emphasizes Francesca Stifano, Central Director of Institutional Relations and Legislative Services, the issue of adequate organizational structures is central to accompanying companies, especially smaller ones, on a path of responsible and sustainable growth. Regulatory clarity, risk prevention, and proportionality of obligations are essential elements for ensuring competitiveness and legal certainty, promoting organizational models that are truly effective and consistent with the characteristics of companies, also in relation to the responsibilities provided for by Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, which is currently undergoing a review process.
