Kristopher Ramsay, Chair of the Department of Politics, will present “Conservation for Sale: International Bargaining over Payment for Ecosystem Services.” Join us in the Briger Hall Auditorium, 11 Ivy Lane, or stream it live.
Prof. Ramsay will examine how stock-based international conservation payments shape government incentives over time. This talk will show that these payment schemes can discourage conservation by amplifying strategic bargaining behavior by both donors and recipients.
This seminar is free and open to the public. Lunch will be available in the Briger Atrium at 11:45 a.m.
