Artificial Intelligence and Automotive: the Sant Anna School participates in the Quattroruote Fleet Business Day, at the Reggia di Monza. The speech by Micheal Mugnai, PhD student at the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence f.gattai Thu, 09/19/2024 - 16:27   The Quattroruote Fleet Business Day, the most exclusive event dedicated to Fleet Management professionals, organised by Quattroruote magazine, took place at the Reggia di Monza on Tuesday 17 September, with the participation of the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence of the Sant Anna School. The event received the patronage of ANIASA, the national association to represent in the Confindustria system the companies involved in vehicle rental, car sharing and mobility-related services. Michael Mugnai, Phd Student of the Intelligent Automation Systems Area of the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence, provided his expert contribution by participating in the round table entitled Opportunities and unknowns of digital transformation, on the applications of artificial intelligence to theautomotive sector, dedicated to the new challenges for the fleet manager between connected cars and AI. Micheal Mugnai addressed the topic of teleoperated vehicles and assisted driving, two current challenges in the automotive sector, considered an intermediate step towards autonomous driving. The talk therefore focused on the use ofartificial intelligence in the automotive sector, which is recently improving not only in-vehicle entertainment and communication systems thanks to advanced technologies such as neural networks, but also the hidden components of the vehicle, using algorithms that predict in advance when maintenance will be needed. With the support of experts from academia and research, Quattroruote s editorial team analysed the most promising innovations and applications supporting the daily work of corporate mobility professionals during this event, looking in detail at the following aspects: new technologies, to understand whether they are a risk or an adv person and machine together for intelligent car fleet mana autonomous driving and the company drivers of the future.
