Othello in the Seraglio

Princeton University s Department of Near East Studies presents this uniquely powerful coffeehouse opera. Set in the 17th century Ottoman Court, OTHELLO IN THE SERAGLIO tells an age-old story of passionate love and the murderous jealousy of the titular black eunuch. Filmed over the course of three days and presented in stunning HD. Followed by a Q A with producer Dr. Robert Labaree and composer Dr. Mehmet Ali Sanlikol. This event is free and open to the public
