Public Service Academy member engineers a new life after Hurricane Maria

If you had to choose one word to sum up the life of Arizona State University freshman Jairo Ramirez, it would be resilience. A little over a year ago, Ramirez and his family sheltered in their home for 11 hours while Hurricane Maria wreaked havoc on their Puerto Rican neighborhood and went on to devastate the entire country. This year, he is attending his first year at ASU and upping his academic game.
