The Sant Anna School of Advanced Studies hosted the International Conference “Real-Time Networks and Systems (RTNS 2025)” m.nardini Wed, 11/12/2025 - 12:00 The Sant Anna School of Advanced Studies hosted the 33rd International Conference “Real-Time Networks and Systems (RTNS 2025)”, one of the premier European scientific forums dedicated to the theory and practice of real-time, network, and embedded systems. The conference took place in Pisa from 5 to 7 November and consolidated the role of the Sant Anna School in the global real-time systems community.The organization of this major international event is led by the Retis laboratory (Real-Time Systems Laboratory) of Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, and Photonics Institute (TeCIP) of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, which continues its tradition of excellence in research on safety-critical systems, with Prof. Alessandro Biondi of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna serving as the General Chair. The academic excellence of the program is ensured by the PC Co-Chairs, Angeliki Kritikakou from the University of Rennes and IUF, and Florian Brandner from Télécom Paris.RTNS 2025 brought together experts, practitioners and students to discuss cutting-edge topics ranging from real-time programming and WCET analysis to emerging applications in cyber-physical systems, time-sensitive networks (TSN) and mixed-criticality systems. Renowned for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere, the conference fostered collaboration and discussion, particularly through its innovative three-stage submission process, designed to accommodate high-quality, timely research throughout the year.The conference agenda included the Junior Researcher Workshop on Real-Time Computing (JRWRTC), a key component aimed at nurturing the next generation of scholars. The JRWRTC provided a dedicated and encouraging environment for doctoral students and early-career researchers to present their preliminary work and receive fruitful feedback from established experts, further enriching the dynamic research ecosystem that characterises this community.
